■Admission Exemptions for Collection Exhibitions
The following individuals receive free admission:
- A: Visitors aged junior high school or younger.
- B: Visitors aged 65 and older.
- C: Holders of Rehabilitation Certificates.
- D: Holders of Physical Disability Certificates.
- E: Holders of Mental Disability Certificates.
- F: Holders of special exhibition tickets.
- Note:
- * For categories B–E, please present your ID or certificate.
- * For visitors in categories C–E who require assistance, one caregiver is also exempted.
- *F may differ depending on the special exhibition.
- * Users of the disability certificate app "Mirairo ID" may also qualify for fee exemptions.

■Online Tickets
Tickets for collection exhibitions can be purchased via online reservation platforms, which accept credit card payments. On the day of your visit, please display your "entry ticket" on your smartphone at the ticket counter.
- Note: Do not press the "Enter" button on your ticket before arrival, as this process is completed at the reception.

Access
By Public Transport
Train
From JR Matsuyama Station, take a tram (about 7 minutes) bound for Dougo Onsen or Matsuyama City Station. Get off at Minamihoribata (Museum of Art, Ehime) and walk 3 minutes.
Airplane
Approximately 15 minutes by car from Matsuyama Airport or 18 minutes by limousine bus. Get off at Ehime Shimbunsha-mae and walk 9 minutes.
By Car
20 minutes from Matsuyama IC.
Parking is not available at Shiroyama Park. Visitors can park at the Kencho Nishi Parking Lot (2 hours free, accessible from Kencho-mae or Higashihoribata).
Please note that if the parking lot is full, waiting for a parking space on the street is not permitted as it can cause traffic congestion. Whenever possible, we recommend using public transport.
Parking for Visitors with Disabilities
Two parking spaces for vehicles with a Parking Permit are available near the museum. Reservations are not accepted.
For access, please enter from the east side of the Matsuyama Civic Center, proceed eastward along the road north of the museum’s main building, turn right, and follow the road between the museum and the library. Park in one of the two designated spaces on the side of the museum's south building. Note that vehicle access to Horinouchi is only permitted via Shiroyama Park Entrance (Nishihoribata).
If you have any questions or need assistance, please use the intercom located near the vehicle barrier on the north side of the museum's main building.
Temporary Arrangements During South Building and Library Construction: For updates on temporary arrangements during construction (scheduled from Tuesday, September 3, 2024, to April 2025), including bicycle parking and parking for visitors with disabilities, please see the notice below.

For Visitors Arriving by Bicycle
Please use the bicycle parking areas at the library or Horinouchi Park. During construction (scheduled from Tuesday, September 3, 2024, to April 2025),
Accessibility
- Two designated spaces for Parking Permit holders.
- Barrier-free restrooms: 1st and 2nd floors of the Main Building; 1st floor of the South Wing (with ostomate support).
- Wheelchairs and strollers (available for use in the Main Building only) are available for loan. Please inquire at the main information desk in the Main Building or at the South Building Fureai Art Centeroffice upon arrival.
- Nursing Room: For breastfeeding and diaper changing (1st floor, Main Building).
- Guide dogs, hearing dogs, and service dogs are welcome.
- Communication boards are available at the main reception, South Building Fureai Art CenterSouth Wing office, and exhibit entrances.
Support for Visitors with Visual Impairments
Visitors with visual impairments can receive guided assistance from the main information desk to view and experience the exhibitions (including special and collection exhibitions).

"Reconsidering Seeing" Project
As part of a 2020 Agency for Cultural Affairs initiative supporting museum activities in collaboration with local communities, the museum explored non-visual ways to enjoy art. This initiative, conducted with visually impaired individuals, expanded the concept of "seeing" and introduced alternative methods of art appreciation. Videos and other materials from this project are available for viewing.
Museum Etiquette
To protect the artworks and ensure an enjoyable experience for all visitors, we kindly request your cooperation with the following guidelines:
Inside the Museum
Food and Drink
- Eating and drinking (including candy and gum) is not permitted except in designated areas. Spills can attract pests and mold. Please enjoy food and beverages in the restaurant in the West Building or in the South Building.。
- For hydration, water coolers are available on the south side of the first floor in the Main Building and in the West Building lobby.
Prohibited Items
- Please refrain from bringing plants, animals, dangerous items, or other prohibited materials into the museum.
- Plants are not allowed to prevent insects or pollen from affecting the artworks. Artificial flowers are also prohibited to avoid misunderstandings among visitors.
- However, plants and fresh flowers may be brought into the South Building.
- Assistance dogs are welcome and may accompany visitors with disabilities.
Inside the Exhibition Room
Touching Artworks and Display Cases
- To preserve the artworks, please do not touch the artworks, display cases, exhibition stands, or walls.
Mobile Devices
- Please refrain from making phone calls inside the museum.
- Set your device to silent or vibrate mode. If you need to make a call, please step outside the exhibition room.
- The memo and search functions on mobile devices may be used.
Photography and Copying
- Photography and copying are not allowed to protect copyright and avoid disturbing other visitors.
- Exceptions may apply for certain exhibitions, but video recording, flash photography, tripods, and selfie sticks are strictly prohibited. Any photos taken must be used responsibly.
Writing Tools
- Only pencils are allowed for note-taking. Sharp pencils, ballpoint pens, fountain pens, and brushes are not permitted as they may damage the artworks. Pencils are available for loan; please ask a staff member.
Large Bags and Umbrellas
- Large bags and umbrellas are not allowed inside the museum. Please use the coin lockers and umbrella stands provided. Foldable umbrellas stored inside bags may be brought in. For items too large to fit in a locker, please inquire at the main information desk.
Indoor Environment
- The museum maintains temperature and light levels suitable for the artworks.
- You may notice a difference in temperature compared to outside, so we recommend wearing layers that are easy to add or remove. During summer, bringing a light jacket is advisable.
- The rooms may appear dim, but this is to prevent damage to the artworks caused by excessive light.
Compliance with Museum Rules
If staff determine that an action is damaging to the artworks or disruptive to other visitors, they may approach you to address the issue. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
