We are currently recruiting new information service volunteers for the Ehime Prefectural Museum of Art.

The main activity will be providing guidance at the museum's reception (general information and library corner).
If you are interested, please call in advance (089-932-0010)
and attend one of the information sessions to be held on Wednesday, March 5th or Saturday, March 8th.

How to join

  • Your application will be accepted and your membership card will be issued at the Ehime Prefectural Museum of Art South Wing Fureai Art Center.
  • If you are transferring your annual membership fee through Ehime Bank, Iyo Bank, or the Ehime Prefectural Shinkin Bank, your membership card will be mailed to you as soon as we have confirmed that your fee has been received.
    When transferring your fee, please be sure to use the specified transfer form. If any transfer fees are incurred, please pay them at the time of payment.

Membership types, fees and benefits

A comparison of museum membership systems. There are three types of membership: regular membership (annual fee 3,500 yen), operating membership (corporate) (annual fee 30,000 yen), and operating membership (individual) (annual fee 15,000 yen). Benefits include free admission to special exhibitions and special exhibitions, free admission to collection exhibitions, admission to spring and autumn prefectural exhibitions, participation in art classes, exhibiting at the Friends' Association Art Exhibition, participation in training trips, discounts at the museum restaurant, news updates, and listing of corporate names. The scope and number of benefits vary for each membership type.

*Membership is valid for 12 months from the month of joining. (For example, if you join on May 1st, your membership will be valid until the end of April the following year.)

About Art Classes

The following classrooms are open. If you are interested, you can visit each classroom, so please contact the office.
*Due to renovation work on the South Building, classrooms will be closed from August 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.

About the study trip

We plan a study trip every year.
For the 2024 study trip, we went to Izumo Taisha Shrine and Adachi Museum of Art for a two-day, one-night trip.

Volunteer Activities at the Ehime Museum of Art

Our museum has three volunteer activities: "information service volunteers," "artwork guide volunteers," and "creative volunteers."

Information Service Volunteer Photo

Information Service Volunteer

  • Manages the collection in the Art Information Book Corner and provides visitor support.
  • Provides visitor support at the general information desk.
  • After attending in-house training (mandatory), you will be registered as a staff member.

Art Guide Volunteer

  • At collection exhibitions and special exhibitions, we provide appreciation programs using "interactive appreciation methods" for general visitors and school groups.
  • After selection based on essays and attending one year of training (mandatory), you will be registered as a staff member.

Creative Activity Volunteer

  • Cleans the studio once a month and maintains tools.
  • Prepares for and assists with creative activities.

Treatment

In order to help improve services for visitors, only the volunteers themselves can view the museum's exhibitions for free. *Some exhibitions are not eligible for free viewing.
No travel expenses will be reimbursed. Insurance provided.
