New Collection Exhibition 2024
This exhibition will feature new works acquired by the museum through purchases and donations last year.
●Artists: Sugiura Hisui, Yamamoto Shunkyo, Sera Tomoyoshi, Komoda Morisuke, Azechi Umetaro, Manabe Hiroshi, and others



Collection highlights
Our museum's collection began as the predecessor of the Ehime Prefectural Art Museum (opened in 1970), and has since collected a variety of works from Japan and abroad, with a focus on local artists. Currently, we have approximately 12,000 pieces of artwork on display, which we introduce to our visitors in our collection exhibitions, with a rotating display.
In the "Collection Highlights" corner, you can see masterpieces and masterpieces that we are proud of, including works by artists who represent our collection, such as Sugiura Hisui, Manabe Hiroshi, and Azechi Umetaro, as well as overseas works. This year's special feature introduces the Azechi Umetaro Collection, one of the museum's three major collections.
*The exhibition period for [Yoshida Hiroshi "Sailing Ship Morning 'Seto Inland Sea Collection'" 1926 (Taisho 15)] will be from Monday, April 7th to Sunday, May 11th.


Natural Lines, Forms, and Colors in Japanese Art
This exhibition focuses on designs inspired by plants and other natural objects, and introduces Japanese artworks from the early modern to modern eras. Enjoy the variety of expressions born from extracting natural forms and capturing them, sometimes boldly and sometimes delicately, and the fascinating effects they produce.
