About the Collection

Ehime has long flourished as a key hub of transportation across the Seto Inland Sea, attracting and nurturing a rich heritage of artists and cultural figures. The region's lush natural landscapes, such as the islands of the Seto Inland Sea and Mount Ishizuchi, along with its mild climate, have shaped a warm and thoughtful local character. Inspired by this history and culture, the Museum of Art, Ehime collects and preserves artworks based on the following principles, aiming to foster and celebrate the unique and diverse artistic culture of Ehime.
These collected works are displayed in rotating exhibitions for visitors to enjoy.
