On November 30, 2015, Shigeru Mizuki passed away at the age of 93. He was highly acclaimed not only as a manga artist who created many hit works such as "Gegege no Kitaro," "Akumakun," and "Kappa no Sanpei," but also as a researcher of monsters who spread monster culture through his works. With the full cooperation of Mizuki Productions, this exhibition will thoroughly look back on what Shigeru Mizuki the man left behind. In addition to numerous works that show his outstanding drawing skills and messages, such as childhood studies, sketches made on the battlefield, and precious manga and monster paintings from the rental book era, the exhibition will also feature essay manuscripts, a collection of monster and spirit statues, and personal belongings, totaling approximately 390 items.
