Nagoya City Art Museum is proud to have one of the largest collections of 20th century Ecole de Paris works in Japan. Due to the museum being closed for renovation work, an exhibition has been organised to bring together these masterpieces. A dream world is woven together by the museum's excellent collection and our representative works. Enjoy the diverse beauty of colour and form unfolding in the works of troubled geniuses such as Modigliani, Pascin, Foujita Tsuguharu and Chagall, who were active in Paris, the city of art, and wavered between the avant-garde and the classics, using these experiences as nourishment for their lives.
